In separate meetings with urban and religious officials of the city of Rijeka on Thursday, Soltanifar said that Iran and Croatia enjoyed the potential to increase their cooperation, IRNA reported.
The Iranian vice president is in Croatia to attend the 100th session of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Executive Council.
He visited the Rijeka Islamic Center where he was received by the Imam of the center's mosque.
During his three-day visit to the region, Soltanifar will meet Croatian high-ranking officials including the country's premier and parliament speaker.
The 100th session of the UNWTO Executive Council kicked off on May 27 and will end on 30. This year session will include 300 participants and representatives of tourism ministries from all around the world.
